Pulmonaria ‘Shrimps on the Barbie’ bears coral-pink flowers from March to May above silver-spotted foliage. This semi-evergreen perennial provides ground cover, with its leaf markings showing up well in shade.
Grow it in partial or dappled shade in moist but well-drained soil, avoiding positions that become too dry. It is useful at the front of shaded borders and beneath trees and shrubs.
Cut back after flowering to encourage fresh foliage. Apply an autumn mulch to build up organic matter in the soil, keeping it clear of the crown.
