Plants are dispatched in growing condition and may not be in full flower. If too tall to pack safely, we may cut them back — this helps them establish more quickly. Read our Mail Order FAQs.
Geum ‘Scarlet Tempest’ PBR bears semi-double, scarlet flowers suffused with apricot on slender, hairy, branching stems above clumps of mid-green foliage. Here at the nursery, it flowered from late April to late September, its colour catching visitors’ attention.
It grows well in containers and can be combined with purple, white, pale pink or blue flowers in a border. Choose a sunny or partially shaded position in good, free-draining soil. Deadhead regularly and remove stems that have finished flowering to encourage fresh growth.
It was runner-up in the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Plant of the Year competition in 2016.
