Penstemon ‘Midnight’ bears tubular dark blue to purple flowers with pink-flushed throats on upright stems, above linear, lance-shaped glossy green foliage. This bushy, semi-evergreen perennial flowers throughout summer and well into autumn.
It grows well in sun or dappled shade in fertile, free-draining soil.
Hardiness: H4 (−10°C to −5°C). Hardy through most UK winters. Provide winter protection in colder inland, upland or northern gardens; plants in pots are more vulnerable to frost.
